Michelin Retread Technologies (MRT) dealer finds success with VAST

Ozarko Tire Centers, Inc., a multi-generational family business that is now the 50th largest commercial tire dealer and retreader in the US, has seen added operational benefits since its implementation of VAST in 2018.

Ozarko operates nine commercial centers and two Michelin MRT retread plants covering both Missouri and Arkansas. Their goal is to provide customers with the highest quality tires and industry-leading Michelin retreads. This, coupled with their knowledgeable staff and service department, allows them to provide their customers with a complete tire program.

VAST is a sophisticated point of sale and management system designed for both single and multi-location tire dealers and auto service shops. Its powerful yet easy-to-use features help to increase revenues and generate incremental profits while enhancing customer service and productivity.

VAST has a unique user interface that allows for multiple work orders to be opened and worked on simultaneously. The reporting functionality within VAST offers robust reporting both for internal purposes as well as for the user’s customers/fleets. This provides analysis that can then be provided to customers in order to show them the types of tires they are buying or are having retreaded.

The Tire Data Downloader within VAST has significantly helped Ozarko maintain tire data within their system and enables them to download all product SKUs, including all tire attributes and tire pictures. This saves them time and helps them avoid having to manually create product codes in the system.

For instance, the credit controls and credit authorization process within VAST have helped us improve our receivable process. VAST also provides two-way integration with Michelin’s retread software, BIBTREAD Next. The tagalong retread and customer repairs details are populated within the invoicing process in VAST, eliminating the need for redundant data input. Retread orders can also be brought over to customer work orders by either tag or by the entire retread work order.
